Alaska Heli Ski Season Kickoff

APD is happy to announce the start of the 2011 Alaska Heli Ski Season. We flew several local groups this past weekend during three days of sunshine. Conditions were a little firm (wind effect & sun crust) however we did manage to find some mountain coves that were holding the goods. It was definitely not the velvet powder that we are used to, but all groups had a fantastic time!

We are looking to this coming weekend for some possible breaks in the weather and it’s forecasted to snow in the heli zones all week!
